A Scrum Master
Join our digital team and be responsible for leading our development teams in an agile methodology. We’re looking for passionate people with the technical know how to increase our productivity and efficiency across various products with various release targets.

Working Hours: We’re looking for about 37.5 hours a week for this role – what would generally be called Full Time. How that breaks into days or a working pattern will be agreed with your line manager, we are very flexible but we must make sure that our customers are always receiving the best service.
Working Times: Our policy allows working anywhere at anytime, ultimate flexibility. We’d like at least some of your working hours to be coordinated with other internal and external team members to ensure we’re being efficient and communicating effectively. We think work should fit your lifestyle, so you can work when you can be most efficient!
Location: We’d like to see you in our Cardiff city centre offices often enough for you to be able to do the job effectively, integrate our ethos and work with the team. But otherwise, we’re focused on you doing the work, not where you choose to do it. We’re fully set up for virtual working!
Salary: We’ll be competitive (of course) so we’re budgeting around £50,000 per annum depending on experience. This also depends on what we agree between us your preferred weekly total hours.

What we’re after
We want team players who’ll integrate well, pitch in to help others as needed, and make being at work at least something approaching fun from time to time.
We’re a small but growing business, and you’ll need to be self-motivated, completely trustworthy and able to manage your own delivery to hit milestones.
You’ll be flying the flag for us to partners, so being personable and a good communicator will be important.
We control devices within our customers’ homes and collect a lot of data, so having an understanding of IoT automation and data streaming would be great.
Being a bit “eco” definitely isn’t going to hurt either!
What we’ll be asking you to do
You will be responsible for:
- Leading the scrum team in using Agile methodology and scrum practices
- Helping the product owners and development teams to achieve customer satisfaction
- Lead the scrum and development teams in self-organization
- Help the scrum and development teams to identify and fill in blanks in the Agile framework
- Resolve conflicts, blockers and issues that occur
- Help the scrum team achieve higher levels of scrum maturity
- Support the product owners and provide education where needed
What about skills & qualifications?
- Prior experience on a scrum team
- Ability to analyse, think quickly and to resolve conflict
- Knowledgeable in techniques to fill in gaps in the scrum
- Experience with successful Agile techniques
- Ability to work with, and lead a team
- Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment
- Self-motivation and ability to stay focused in a fast paced and energetic environment
