Plans submitted for zero carbon neighbourhood – Parc Hadau

The submission follows extensive engagement with the surrounding communities – including an exhibition, drop-ins and activities with local schoolchildren – to showcase and consult on the proposals.

The housebuilder has now submitted its final plans to Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council.

Andy Sutton, director of design and innovation at Sero Homes said: “These homes will showcase and redefine what we should all be able to expect from a new home and set the bar for future developments of this type.

“Reaching the planning submission stage is a significant milestone and a major step towards our goal of building true zero carbon neighbourhoods for future generations.

“We’ve been delighted by the positive reaction to our proposals and have taken on board valuable feedback, including the suggestion to include food-growing areas within the communal gardens, which we’ve now incorporated into the plans.

“We’ll be releasing further detail on the plans in due course, and are looking forward to getting on site spring next year.”

All the Parc Hadau homes will be professionally managed by Sero Homes to provide hassle-free living, with long term tenancies and index linked rents to keep them at a fair price.
