The VALUER research project is a ground-breaking scheme that will see the first mortgages and additional borrowing offered in the UK that recognise home energy efficiency in their affordability calculations. The ‘VALUER Project’ is a collection of industry partners led by Monmouthshire Building Society, The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Rightmove and zero carbon homebuilder and sustainable energy service provider Sero.

The Coalition for the Energy Efficiency of Buildings (CEEB) has made it clear that the UK must increase the pace and scale of investment into the energy efficiency and resilience of UK residential buildings and maps out a set of financial solutions to boost take-up on a national scale, with the potential to contribute substantially to a post-Covid-19 green and inclusive economic recovery.

Sero has this week released CGI images that give a sneak preview of Parc Hadau, its zero carbon neighbourhood currently being developed in Pontardawe, south Wales. 

Sero Homes has been shortlisted for the Eco Initiative of the Year at the highly acclaimed RESI Awards, in recognition of its Parc Hadau scheme – a new neighbourhood of 35 zero carbon homes in Pontardawe.

Work is set to get underway one of the world’s first* true ‘net zero carbon in operation’ neighbourhoods – Parc Hadau in Pontardawe – which today (17 Dec) gained detailed planning consent from Neath Port Talbot Council.
